Onslaught - Let There Be Rock

This killer EP was the last ever work of the English Speed/Thrash Metal band Onslaught (Bow low, all of you Defenders of the Faith and Believers in True Metal) with the singer Sy Keeler, though another version can be found with the new duty screamer Steve Grimmet [ex Grim Reaper].

One of the many reason why I like Onslaught was their former Punk Rock influences which gave them a distinctive sound among other Speed/Thrash Metal bands of the 8o's.
The amazing AC/CD cover version of "Let There Be Rock" is another example of this bands open minded style but without ever compromising their main focus on 80's Speed/Thrash.

2004 saw the band reform with the line up of Sy Keeler, Nige Rockett, James Hinder and Steve Grice. The second guitarist was Welshman Alan Jordan, formerly of Mirror Mirror. Amidst the touring, writing for the fourth album began and in early 2007 saw the release of Killing Peace.
